Flooding in the Midwest

Some parts of the Midwest have had some terrible flooding. We're not too far away from those parts and our town has been under orders to boil our drinking water for a couple of days now. We expect this to be lifted soon as the floods are receding in the place where our water comes from and the main generator is back up at the water works. At least that's what I understand. I've heard that this has been the worst flooding of the Mississippi River since 1929.
