Father's Day

We had a lovely Father's Day here. Mike didn't have early meetings and Sacrament meeting was wonderful, with talks about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and our earthly fathers.

I thought about my own Dad, who is living with Mama in their own home in a Garden of Eden setting in the Pacific Northwest. My Dad is a righteous patriarch who is a good example to me of what a loving father is. This has helped me over the years to envision what God, my Heavenly Father is like.

My husband is also a wonderful, loving father known to our family and extended family as "Papa". He is fun and has a great sense of humor! He is a favorite to each of our children. His father, known to our kids as "Gramps", is also a kind man who was a friend to all. We will see him again in the hereafter.

We spent some time on Sunday with Mike's mom and his sister Christine and her family to celebrate Chris' birthday. Happy Birthday Chris!

And Happy Father's Day to all fathers everywhere! We love you and need you!
