First lab, then McDonald's

That's one of the things Joel likes to say when he knows we're headed to the hospital lab for more blood draws: "First lab, then 'Donald's!"

We're headed back to lab this afternoon for another set of blood cultures, trying to figure out why he is active but congested in the first part of the day, but keeps sleeping all afternoon and evening, throwing up and spiking fevers at night. He was up to 102-104 again last night, couldn't keep his meds down. The cardiac surgeon happened to call us last night while I was wondering what to do this time... the doctors think it's not related but just to be sure it's not an infection in his heart (endocarditis?)... he and the cardiologist ordered blood cultures taken today, so off we will go...as soon as one of his adult siblings comes over to watch Timmy and Ella.

It's a good thing Joel has a sticker book to keep all of the stickers in that they give him in labs, hospitals and doctor's offices; he loves to show them off and is now more willing to cooperate for them. I made the book out of scrapbooking paper and had it spiral bound at an office store. He now needs a T-shirt saying, "Will Work for Stickers". Oh, and McDonald's.

That's so funny that Joelbug will do just about anything for McDonalds-Sheldon is the same way, anything for fries and nuggets at McDonalds;)

Thanks for including us in your blog! :)
Love the photos! :)
So sorry to hear your little guy's not feeling well. I hope they can diagnose his situation and get him on the mend. It's just no fun being sick.
Love You! :)
Love,
