Fire

Our daughter Mikelle called during dinner yesterday to let us know she was alright, but that while she'd been at our home earlier, a fire had destroyed the family home where she lives. Mikelle and the daughter of the family were on their way from our house to the college when they got the call from Kathy that their home had burned. Mom, Dad and the girls were not home, but one of their little dogs is gone; the one that would sit in the window (of the room where the fire started) and watch for the family to come home. I cried as I thought of all that family has lost to flames and smoke! Tears of gratitude also that Kathy, Larry, Chelsy and Mikelle are safe!


Mike visited the site this morning and talked with the parents, they said the girls hadn't been close enough last night to understand the extent of the damage. They must all be in shock this morning.
Fortunately they do have insurance! Mikelle said last night that they think it was an electrical wiring malfunction.
